Managed Payments

Frequently Asked Questions

Here are answers to some commonly asked questions to help our sellers continue to sell for charity on managed payments.

What is managed payments and how does it affect when I sell for charity?

As a seller, you will be able to do everything that you were able to do previously with a few changes. With managed payments, your sale proceeds minus all applicable fees will be deposited in your registered bank account. eBay will provide a discount for the final value fee, equal to the percentage donated, up to 100%. For more information on how the discount works, please click here. When the item sells, eBay will apply the charity discount while processing the sale transaction and the net amount will be deposited to your bank account. Donations to the charity will be collected after 21 days through our partner PayPal Giving Fund. In order to ensure that your donation is collected automatically, please continue to link your PayPal account as the donation payment method in the eBay account settings. If we are unable to collect the donations automatically, then you will be emailed an invoice from PayPal Giving Fund requesting payment for the donation. Once a month, PayPal Giving Fund will combine and deliver 100% of all donations collected for that charity.
